PSI Students Build Bike During SEMA Show 2011

The PowerSport Institute teamed up with Ohio Technical College to build a 2002 Harley Davidson CVO Road King during the 2011 SEMA Show.  PSI Students, David Hirz and Stacey Chainey had four days to build the bike that was delivered in several boxes to the show.

Ohio Technical College Custom Paint and Graphics instructors, Pat Downey and Pete Gonzales were on hand painting all of the tins for the bike.  The paint scheme was true fire and tribal flames.  While Pat worked to mask off the tribal flames, Pete airbrushed his true fire over the masking.  Once he completed that, Pat meticulously pinstripped around the tribal flames.  Both instructors did a wonderful job- the pictures don't even do this beautiful bike justice!

While at SEMA, PSI was lucky enough to speak with PowerTV about the PowerSport Institute and the challenges of building and custom painting a motorcycle in four days.  Check out the video and pictures of the build below!
