What types of aid are available?
As an accredited institution, financial aid is available to PSI students who qualify. There are various federal student aid programs, including:
1.Grants - including the Pell Grant (PELL) and the Federal Supplementary Educational Opportunity Grant program (FSEOG)
2.Student Loans - subsidized and unsubsidized Direct Stafford Loan programs and the Perkins Loan program
3.Parent Loans - the Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) program among others
4.Scholarships - PSI also participates in numerous scholarship programs
Our Financial Aid Advisors will work to help you secure funding to cover your educational costs from a variety of sources including the federal government, state agencies, Veterans Affairs, private sources, corporate sources and the PowerSport Institute itself.
Your Financial Aid Process
The financial aid process at PowerSport Institute is as easy as 1-2-3!
Step 1 – Applying for Aid
In order to receive student financial aid, you need to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every school year. You may use FAFSA on the Web to complete and submit your financial aid application electronically or complete the paper application and send it to the Financial Aid office for processing.
We will verify the details on your FAFSA and additional may be requested to complete the processing.
Step 2 – The Award
After your FAFSA is entered and your information is verified, you will receive a personalized award package from the Financial Aid office detailing the amount of aid you are eligible to receive and a detailed payment schedule with mulitiple options to cover any remaining tuition balance, if applicable. We will work with you and your parents (if applicable) to determine the best way to pay for your education.
Step 3 – Applying for Loans
By completing the FAFSA, you have already applied for Federal Student Loans. If eligible, the loan documents are included in the Award for you to complete and return to Financial Aid. If you need additional loans The PLUS loan (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students) or an alternative student loan may also be used to cover remaining tuition balances and the cost of housing/living expenses.
