The PowerSport Institute (PSI) is a division of Ohio Technical College dedicated to providing motorcycle training on a wide array of manufacturers and equipment in one comprehensive program.
At the PowerSport Institute, we are focused on developing motorcycle technicians who are able to make an immediate impact in the workplace. As a driveability and maintenance specialist, our graduate technicians will know their way around multiple manufacturers equipment, tools, resources and shops.
The objective of the program is to provide learning experiences which will enable you to learn motorcycle technology service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostic skills.
The core skill information required by the motorcycle industry builds a foundation of knowledge so that a successful student can continue to gain knowledge on additional advanced level information. The program will provide you with the foundational technical training that will enhance troubleshooting skills to diagnose fuel and electrical related issues, and to be able to efficiently perform service interval maintenances required on all PowerSport vehicles. The core program covers:
- Engine
- Fuel Systems
- Suspension & Chassis
- Electrical Systems
- Service Intervals/PDI
- Snowmobiles and Personal Watercraft
The manufacturer portion of the program covers training on the following:

- Suzuki
- Kawasaki
- Arctic Cat
- Polaris / Victory
- American V-Twin (Harley Davidson, Buell, Victory)
